Rosana Matos de Araujo and DriftXP You're all set!

Journey places the Universal Video Player by default on all sites - you can read more about the type of ad placements Journey offers here.

    Thanks!

    Hi Support,

Thanks for super quick response and you're amazing.

The side bar ad is now showing on the website.

However, I couldn't find the Universal Video Player ad that you mentioned on any of my pages. Can you please check once?

DriftXP I'm seeing the video ad displaying on your site on my end – here's a screenshot for reference:

As the site owner you might not always be served every ad placement (including the video ad), but it doesn't mean ads aren't working correctly - it just means you've likely run out of premium ad impressions or ad spend is lower for you since you're on the site more frequently than a typical user.

    Thanks for your assistance.

Frode Remmen Ads are loading on your site as expected. It's possible these viewers have an ad blocker or some type of firewall installed.

Florian you have to disable the sticky functionality so it doesn't scroll as the user scrolls in order to have the sidebar ad. Otherwise, the sidebar ad will overlap with the sidebar.

Thanks Rachel. Done. What can I do now to get the ad on the sidebar? :)

Hey Laura Mansfield, since your site is using the Showit theme, you'll need to follow the steps in this article from Showit to try and set up sidebar ads since the Showit sidebar isn't natively compatible with ad placements.

Hello Journey support team.  Inquiring about epicbend.com

I've been troubleshooting this issue for 3 days and pulling my hair out.  My sidebar ad is still sliding to the right when scrolling down.

    1. I've created this single page with its own template to troubleshoot:  https://epicbend.com/aerial-photos-san-francisco-to-bend-oregon/
    2. If I eliminate everything in the sidebar, the ad appears fine and scrolls correctly.
    3. If I add even a single element (as you see, I've added only 1 single image in the sidebar), the problem reoccurs
    4. I've tried adding Custom CSS ‘display:block’ to virtually every element on the page.  Even tried the ‘!important’ tag.
    5. For some reason the ad must still be inheriting the ‘display:flex’ style from somewhere, but I cannot figure out where

If you could inspect one more time and give me any clue, would really appreciate.

    thanks

    Glenn

Hi Glenn VanLandingham I took a look at that post that you're using to troubleshoot and I'm still seeing the sidebar using display:flex. To fix this problem you'd need to make sure the sidebar was display:block instead of display:flex, which you can get help on and more information about in this thread.

    Hope this helps!

Hi Journey Support Support Team, I’ve noticed that my sticky sidebar ads are not appearing on my desktop site anymore. My website is namastetonihao.com and the stick side bar ads should be on all my blogs, but they're now missing.

Please can you help fix? Can you help recrawling my site again, or troubleshoot? They worked fine a month ago then all of a sudden they were gone.

    Thanks in advance.

Hey Han Jade Chan – I looked over your site, and I noticed the sidebar on your posts have sticky functionality. This stickiness conflicts with the sidebar ad unit, so this sticky behavior will need to be disabled before your site can be re-crawled. Let us know once it's been disabled and we'll take a look!

    Hi there

We just got accepted into Journey and have some trouble figuring out all the ad placements We added a sidebar to our blog posts (min-width 300px) and made sure via CSS that it's scrollable (not-sticky), but we don't see any ads in there. Could you help us?

Also, we only see the cohesion-ad at the bottom, even though we're just using the wordpress editor in our theme (no Elementor or Divi or anything like that). Is something wrong with our theme? When Grow enabled the subscriber thing by default it did show that email block in between paragraphs so I think it is possible for the script(s) to understand the HTML of our website. Some help would be greatly appreciated!

The website is www.tastingsunsets.com. Thank you!

Hey Kelvin Vermeulen - thanks for reaching out! Journey will automatically detect when changes are made on your site, and will ‘re-scrape’ it in an attempt to optimize ad placements.

I checked this morning, and it looks like it did make a few adjustments that seem to be working better. Defintiely let us know if you're not seeing those changes on your end.

Hi Journey Support Support Team, I’ve noticed that my sidebar ads are not appearing on my desktop site anymore. My website is namastetonihao.com and the stick side bar ads should be on all my blogs, but they're now missing. They worked fine for a year on my side bar and then all of a sudden the side bar ads were gone. I've removed the "sticky" as instructed.

Please can you help fix? Can you help recrawling my site again, or troubleshoot?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Journey Support Team

I've removed the sticky sidebar widget on my WP site now, but the sidebar ad still isn’t showing up. Could you take a look?

    Thanks!

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
