Theme Change? Post here!
Pinned FeaturedIn general, we can work with almost any theme. The most important thing is that you have a sidebar that's at least 300 pixels wide and doesn't shrink to smaller than that. You'll also want a responsive design that includes a mobile view.
Since theme changes have been known to make ads disappear, we recommend launching a new theme during business hours which are Monday - Friday from 9am - 4pm CST.
Important reminders:
- If your new theme has a sticky sidebar, our script will not be able to place a sticky sidebar ad. You'll need to ‘un-stick’ your sidebar to make sure we can properly target an ad there.
- We recommend a font size between 18-22px and a line height of 1.6-1.8.
- Journey ad placement works best with long-form post content. Because of this - we only place content ads in post templates with long-form post content.
- Right now, Journey only places content ads throughout actual post content since otherwise these ads could break the layout of pages. We also don't currently have an option for manual ad placement, but you'll still have the adhesion banner ad and Universal Video Player able to load on the homepage.
Once you've changed your theme - please comment in this thread with your site URL so we can make sure selectors are correct and recrawl your site if need be!
You can also check out these help articles to assist in the meantime.

Thank you for your detailed guidance regarding theme updates. I’ve carefully reviewed and implemented the necessary adjustments to ensure my website,………., meets the recommended standards:
- The sidebar is at least 300 pixels wide and responsive, without a sticky feature.
- The font size is between 18-22px with a line height of 1.6-1.8 for optimal readability.
- The theme is responsive and includes a mobile-friendly design.
- Long-form post content is correctly formatted in post templates to support Journey ad placement.
I believe everything is now in place for a smooth ad experience, and I kindly request a recrawl of my website to align with these updates.

Hi Team,
I recently updated my design on my website and created the design using Elementor Theme Builder. I would like you to optimize my ads because right now the ads are not appearing inside the content.
My site is https://www.travelsbeer.com/
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you!

Hi Team,
I have made some changes to the layout of my pages to ensure that the sidebar can hold ads. Can you please re-crawl: https://sport-calculator.com/Will this re crawl all pages? As I have made layout changes to only some of the pages and not all of them :)
Thank you!0 -
Hey Jonas Lindemann -
It looks like there may be some type of CSS issue going on with your site - here's what I'm seeing when I land on your homepage:

If you're able to take a quick look and get things working again, we would be happy to recrawl your site.

Thanks for pointing that out, seems to be a caching issue and I have fixed it for now. You don't need to re-crawl right now as I reversed the changes I made to make sure it wasn't some other issue. I will let you know once I would like to have the site recrawled! :)

I don't see any ads on my page anymore. I did update the theme, but I'm not sure if they were missing before then. My website is www.familyadventuresblog.com. I cleared the cache, but it didn't seem to fix the issue.

Hi Jaime Sanders - I checked a few posts on your site, and I'm seeing ads load in. I recommend checking our help doc here on why you may not be seeing ads on your end. If you recently rolled back your theme change because you weren't seeing ads, feel free to leave a post letting us know when you switch back.

Also on this page: https://sport-calculator.com/calculators/cycling/bicycle-chain-length-calculator
for example there are no ads displayed in the text below the main calculator. Can I structure the HTML better for your script to be able to display ads within that type of content?0 -
Jonas Lindemann I had the script recrawl the site and you should be seeing ads on pages like this now. Thanks!

Hi Rachel :)
Theme change on potpiegirl.com
Note: I've never seen in-content ads on this site.
I've only seen sidebar, anchor and ads between items in my Create card lists.
(site is a bit of a mess as I change things up plus lots of older content - but the food-related posts in the blog area are new).
Thank you!

My site – https://landofthebigs.com/ – has extremely low CPM and RPM after changing theme (well, it was pretty bad before changing, but it's getting even worse). Pageviews, however, are trending upwards. Can someone please have a look to see what's going wrong? I'm very disappointed with Journey so far.

Hiya
I changed https://www.thehappyjournals.com/ from Thrive Themes to Kadence (so page builder to WP blocks).
I used to have in-post ads but now I only have the anchor ad & sidebar ad. I stopped WPRocket from optimising etc. So, can we try recrawling?
Thank you :)
