If you are selling your website, our advice is to always proceed with caution and care.
Be wary of any offers or terms that circumvent Journey by Mediavine's stated policies and processes.
Websites changing ownership MUST reapply.
Approvals are not guaranteed; every site will be re-evaluated so we strongly recommend you do not include approval in the terms of your sale purchase.
You can read more about what we look for here.
DO NOT SHARE YOUR DASHBOARD LOGIN INFORMATION UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Your dashboard includes information about your bank account as well as your tax information in the payment portal. You should NEVER share your login information.
Site Sale Process
When your site sale is complete, please email help@journeymv.com with the following format:
Subject: Site Sale
Body of the email: Site (URL), is being sold on (date of sale). The new owner will be (name of owner or business). I have advised them that there will be a lapse in ad revenue and no guarantee of approval to run Journey by Mediavine ads.
⚠️Please be sure to CC the new owner on the email thread. Once we deactivate the current dashboard, the new owner can add the site to their own dashboard. After they confirm it’s set up, we’ll reactivate the dashboard so onboarding can begin. Keeping everyone on the same thread helps minimize downtime.
What do I need to do as the new owner?
Once the site sale is complete, you will need to create your own Grow account and connect your newly purchased site.
If you already have a Grow account as a reader, you should use this email with the same password you've used previously to create your Grow account.
Next, you will need to reinstall Grow on your site.
Option 1: Install the Grow plugin for WordPress (recommended!)
Option 2: Install manually with the script tag

• How to Add Your Script - Blogger
• How to Add Your Script - Squarespace
Note: If you are manually installing the script tag, you will need to make sure to remove any Grow script from the previous owner. Having duplicate scripts can sometimes cause conflicts with how Grow reads/evaluates your site.
Once you’ve created your Grow account and installed Grow, you will need to reapply to Journey as the new site owner.
