Ads Script Errors, Ads.txt Missing, Privacy Policy
Hi, almost every day when I visit the Grow dashboard, I keep getting red alert warnings for these three items:
- Ads script not found
- Ads.txt missing
- Privacy policy page not found
But all of them already exist and are valid on my blog (I have never changed, removed, or edited them). When I tap the re-check/retest button, it shows a green light, meaning they are valid.
Is this normal, or is there something wrong? And could this affect earnings negatively? I’m not sure what exactly needs fixing, so I’d appreciate it if the support team could help identify the issue or assist in resolving it.
CMS: Blogger
Site: (URL)
I have read somewhere that others are experiencing similar issues, but they are on WordPress.
Thanks in advance

Hi Kiki ,
I just took a look at your Journey Dashboard. While it looks like your Script Missing and Ads.txt Missing errors have been resolved, your Privacy Policy URL is still having an error. While everything looks correct to me and our privacy policy language is being injected into your Privacy Policy page, we're still getting this error.
I've gone ahead and escalated this with our engineering team and they are taking a look at what could be causing the issue.0 -
Hi team,
I have the same thing happening to me. Every few days I get the message you can't find my privacy policy at the URL mentioned, and it says the ads script and ads.txt are missing. It happened when I had a custom theme, and that was one of the reasons I switched to Kadence a month ago, but that didn't fix the problem.
I have the Grow for WP plugin, but when I click the enable buttons in either the Grow dashboard or Mediavine dashboard it doesn't work as it should.
What keeps happening is that it lets me login to my website and it does take me to the Journey plugin, but I have to always log into grow again. After logging in the Journey tab doesn't show up. The only option I have is to Manage my Account, which just takes me back to the Grow website.I logged into the Journey community and found that several people had similar problems. Journey offered workarounds. I tried a couple until I found one that actually worked for me. This is the page where I found a temporary solution. What worked for me was to login to my WP dashboard and then copied and pasted the part of the URL after /wp-admin/ which is admin.php?page=grow-journey-enable. Here's the link to the discussion: https://journeymv.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/24888079035419-Error-Message-Sorry-you-are-not-allowed-to-access-this-page?page=1#community_comment_24932919059611
And when you scroll a bit down this was the response that worked for me:
“Support okay the first way you said didn't work. Then, I got it to work!!! For anyone else who has this issue, I copied and pasted the last part of the url (the part after wp-admin/) and just pasted that into my url and for some reason that did the trick. So, thank you!”
But, it only works temporarily. Every few days everything disconnects. But the weird thing is: the ads remain visible.
I contacted my host to check if they might be blocking the IP address, asked them if Mediavine's user agent is allowlisted as opposed to a specific IP address, if there are any plugins in place that would conflict with Journey by Mediavine, and if for some reason scripts were already manually placed in the head or footer.
All of this is not the problem. And after troubleshooting with the host I now come to you with my problem. As of right now, everything is working, but that can change any minute/day.
Is there anything you can do to help me fix this problem? I really want to connect to Journey like I'm supposed to. I also feel like this error effects my RPM. When I talk to other bloggers with similar pageviews and sessions and most traffic coming from US visitors their RPM is way higher. I know a lot of things could be the reason for that, but I can't help but think that the fact that everything keeps disconnecting can also be a reason why.
I'd love some help here. Thanks in advance0
