Hi Deanna Jump - thanks for sending that video along! Since you're having a little trouble installing the Journey script and Ads.txt file through the Grow plugin, I recommend instead following the steps to manually install your Journey script on your site.

We do have a guide that outlines the general steps for non-wordpress sites, but the short version is this

    1. Copy the Journey script from the ‘Install Manually’ button found during onboarding

    2. After you have the script, you'll want to install it on your site using a plugin like WP Code - this tool allows you to install scripts on your site sitewide. If you've never used this tool before, I recommend reaching out to Bigscoots for assistance.

    3. Update your site's Ads.txt file - this can be done one of two ways:

    - Reach out to your host and have them set up a redirect so that all traffic to your site's ads.txt url (https://deannajump.com/ads.txt) instead redirects to https://adstxt.journeymv.com/sites/mrs-jumps-class/ads.txt (I strongly recommend this method, as it means that you won't have to update your site's ads.txt file manually when new updates go out)

    - Reach out to your host and have them upload a version of your site's ads.txt file (found here) so it's directly accessible at https://deannajump.com/ads.txt

After going through these steps, I recommend clearing your cache once more before continuing through onboarding.

Should I disable the plugin and do it manually?

Do I need to do both of these?

    - Reach out to your host and have them set up a redirect so that all traffic to your site's ads.txt url (https://deannajump.com/ads.txt) instead redirects to https://adstxt.journeymv.com/sites/mrs-jumps-class/ads.txt (I strongly recommend this method, as it means that you won't have to update your site's ads.txt file manually when new updates go out)

    - Reach out to your host and have them upload a version of your site's ads.txt file (found here) so it's directly accessible at https://deannajump.com/ads.txt

Hey Deanna Jump - thanks for following up! We recommend continuing to run the Grow plugin, as this plugin is responsible for adding the Grow script to your site as well. It's completely okay to manually add the Journey script to your site while running the Grow Plugin.

Additionally, you'll want to implement one or the other solution for your ads.txt file - I recommend the redirect method you outlined first.

We are still having trouble and the direct is in place:

    This is what we did

    - Reach out to your host and have them set up a redirect so that all traffic to your site's ads.txt url (https://deannajump.com/ads.txt) instead redirects to https://adstxt.journeymv.com/sites/mrs-jumps-class/ads.txt (I strongly recommend this method, as it means that you won't have to update your site's ads.txt file manually when new updates go out)

Hey Deanna Jump - Looking at the URL I sent along, it looks like this was referencing an older format for the URL for your site's Ads.txt file. My apologies!

Instead of https://adstxt.journeymv.com/sites/mrs-jumps-class/ads.txt, could you try setting up a redirect so that all traffic to /adst.txt instead goes here?  https://adstxt.journeymv.com/sites/50ceb776-44af-4c8b-a6d6-f586e8eb417d/ads.txt

After, try onboarding once more and see if this helps.

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
