If you are using a CMS that is not WordPress (examples include Blogger, SquareSpace, Shopify, etc), then you’ll need to insert the Journey script onto your website manually.
First, you’ll navigate to your Grow Publisher Portal and choose to install the Journey script manually:
Copy the entire script and place it in the <head> section of your site so that the code shows sitewide. This code is site-specific. You can only use this code on the site it was generated for.

Finding the correct area of your site to paste the code depends on the platform and theme you are using for your website.
Shopify
The easiest way to add the Journey script to your Shopify website is to use an app to inject code into the head section.
- Go to the Shopify store and search for an app that allows you to insert custom code. We don’t have any specific recommendations, but any free app should work fine.
- Paste the Journey code into the “HEADER” section then click save.
Squarespace
- In your Squarespace dashboard go to Website → Pages → Scroll down to “Utilities” → Website Tools → Code Injection
- Add the Journey Script Wrapper into the "HEADER" area of the Code Injection field.
- Click save

Blogger
- In your administrator menu in Blogger go to → Theme → Click on the dropdown button beside the word “Customize”:
- Click on “Edit HTML” and place the Journey script after this line:
<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>
And before this line: <b:skin>
- Once that is complete click on the save icon in the top right corner.
Wix
Sites built with Wix are not supported on Journey at this time. We have noticed issues on Wix’s end with implementing in-content ads that we could not resolve - drastically impacting the publisher's income.
Other Content Management Systems (CMS)
If you are using a different CMS than the common CMSs listed above, then you should reach out to your host or developer for more direction on how to insert the Journey script to the <head> tag of your site.
Confirm the Script is Installed Correctly
Navigate back to your Grow Publisher Portal and go to your Journey Settings to ensure the Journey ad script is installed correctly.
