weird ad formats, sidebar and video ads not showing - please help

Hi there

my name is Sharlene and I I'm so not good at this tech stuff :( 


I know that I need these sidebar ads for optimum earning results and also video ads, but I don't know how to set it up correctly. I've read the articles about this and tried different things, but it doesnt seem to work at all :( 

I only have weird ads showing in a big square box and the ad showin inside that box is very tiny. Looks really weird and messes up the look of my blog site. 

Would you mind taking a look and tell me whats wrong with the sidebar ad, the weird square thing ad box and where the video ads are hiding?

    Hi Sharlene - YippieYarnYay.com ! I had the script re-crawl your site because the sidebar ad wasn't targeted properly, so that ad is loading in now. 

    The Universal Video Player (UVP) is enabled by default and works right out of the box when the script is installed. As the site owner though, you might not always be served every ad placement (including the UVP), but it doesn't mean ads aren't working correctly - it just means you've likely run out of premium ad impressions since you're on the site more frequently than a typical user. 

    That said, it looks like you have AdSense code installed on the site, which is conflicting with the Universal Video Player and preventing it from loading. Journey requires exclusivity, so you can't run other programmatic advertising services alongside it and it can cause conflicts with your Journey ads. You'll want to remove the AdSense script as soon as possible. If you're not sure where it is or how to remove it, your host should be able to assist and we also have a great help article here on how to remove old ad code.

    For the box you're seeing, I believe what you're referring to is the space we reserve for the inview ad box, which is great for ad viewability/performance since the ad scrolls with the user, and there's not a way to disable this feature at this time.     Should I delete this, is this what is also interfering?

    I also went into Site Kit settings and under Adsense it says connected but under edit, everything is turned off. 
    I logged into google adsense and there is no site connected and no ads set up, no earnings. Everything in there is empty.

    Hi Sharlene - YippieYarnYay.com ! I don't see any AdSense code on the site now, so you should be good to go. The second code is your GA4 analytics tracking code, so you'll want to keep that.

    We have a page on our website where users can watch video ads in a large player. How can we programatically pull mediavine video ads to that player, instead of/or in addition to the small player videos that you show on our pages in the lower right corner?

    Can we use mediavine's large universal video player for this purpose? If yes, please advise on how to implement your large video player.
