    Hey Moumita Mallick

When you launch new programmatic ads, it can take time to rebuild the history between your site and the buyers to make them appreciate your new ad placements. You've basically just hit the reset button on all your ad prices in the open marketplace

This is often known as the “ramp up” period, and how long that takes can look different based on a few things such as:

    The age of your domain
    How much traffic you have.
How much US traffic you have.
    What quarter we are in!

And of course how that all has changed since you've had ads with Mediavine. We are working on a help article to outline this a little bit better and I'll be sure to share that here when we have it, but wanted to at least reach out. It should all go up from here!

    Hello Karla,

I waited for a month to check my RPM.

It is 9-10. At the same time, I hear 30-35 rpm on average for Journey. (Of course, it depends on Niche)

Is 9-10 RPM normal for the arts and crafts niche?

I have 35-40% of US, and 17% of UK traffic, and the rest follows.

Hey Moumita! We really don't have specifics here because each site is going to be so different.

    Hey Moumita,

I noticed that at the beginning of this thread three months ago, your RPM was $3. I am curious to know your current RPM after three months and whether it has remained stable. Your response will help me maintain patience, as I am currently experiencing an RPM of $3, which I find concerning. I have observed that my fellow bloggers are achieving significantly higher RPMs.

Hi - I've tried to post two different times, but the first time my post sat for 10 days without being approved and then just disappeared, and this time it is still pending approval after 7 days.

I am trying to see if someone can make sure my ads are set up correctly since my sessions are only about half of what they are in GA4 in the Journey dashboard. My RPMs are still low as well (I do know it takes time), so I'm wanting to make sure I set everything up correctly with my ads.

Hey Sarah Royall - I checked your site and I'm seeing ads serving as expected.

We do have an ongoing thread about the differences people are seeing in sessions between Google Analytics and Grow's reported sessions - you can follow that here.

July can be a tough time for RPMs overall. I made a post about that here.

As we go into August - It's normal to see ad spend drop for the first few days of a new month, and pick back up as we move throughout it. Advertisers have to reassess budgets monthly, and it can sometimes take a bit before they begin spending at full power again.

But looking at your site, I'm seeing ads as I would expect so everything looks good there!

Kailash Kumar My RPM is 8-10. Pretty Low.

Earlier my sites that were with Mediavine used to get 30 avg RPM.

So, it's my niche for this site I guess.

My RPM, as well as the CPM, is incredibly low; it's been almost 10 days now, and it's not improving. How many days does it usually take to start

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
