Analytics Discrepancy
Hello,
I recently moved my site from Google AdSense to Journey by Mediavine (around February 4). Over the past few days, I’ve noticed a significant drop in reported visits/views.
After checking with my host (BigScoots), we discovered that the GA4 Measurement ID currently associated with Journey reporting is different from the Measurement ID already implemented on my website.
I would like to standardize my site to use my original GA4 Measurement ID and ensure Journey is reporting from that same property. Could the onboarding process somehow have created a second Measurement ID? Can you help me determine how to fix?
Thanks,
Allie

Hi Allie — Journey doesn't have the means to create a new GA4 property on your Google Account, and the data you're seeing should mostly be a 1-1 match (within reason, as Google will make adjustments to session_start data after it's sent our way), as long as you're looking at the same property in Google Analtyics as is connected to your Dashboard.
Looking at recent data for your dashboard, it does look like there's been an uptick in the number of sessions — perhaps you were able to figure out what specifically was going on here?
Feel free to drop any knowledge you might have learned when troubleshooting, in case anyone else in the community bumps into the same issue.0
