Frequency of automailer widgets

I'm wondering how I can ensure there's only one widget per post for the auto-mailer “subscribe” as well as prevent the darkening of the background, as I feel this would make readers believe it is more mandatory to fill out.

Currently, there are multiple, and they tend to disrupt my content in unusual ways, so I'd prefer to use just one rather than multiple. The darkening is an injected script, so I couldn't write CSS to overwrite it.

A simple solution you've tried would be appreciated.
