A Bug in the Grow Plugin on Wordpress
Hi Journey Team! I'm the owner of this website "https://homifying.com/",
The Journey account that I used to write this post is different from the account that was used to register HOMIFYING to Journey because I do not know why I cannot log in to the HOMIFYING Journey account when I want to post this post here in the community even though I have already entered the correct email and password (however I can log in to 'app.grow.me/login' using the same email and password) even when I choose the 'Get a New Password' and 'Forgot Password' options (so that I can change the password) I do not receive any emails either in the inbox or in the spam. Because of that reason, I created a new Journey account with this email so that I could write this post.
👉 I currently have 2 minor issues which aren't a big concern on my end, but I’m a bit worried they might affect or delay the review process of my website, which I submitted to Journey on July 13 (6 days ago).
(Just for your reference, I’ve had the Grow plugin running for over 40 days now, and my site has received over 25k pageviews in the last 30 days.)
The first issue (maybe it's a bug) is that every time I open the Grow plugin in my WordPress dashboard, I see the message:
"This site is connected to Grow but this user does not have access", along with a login button — even though I’m already logged in. But if I simply refresh the page, it suddenly switches to:
"Hi, Minato Namx! You're currently connected to your Grow Publisher Account" and I'm already logged in again.
The second issue is that the "Inline Widget for Recommended Content" feature doesn’t seem to work on my website, even though it’s enabled.
I did read that the solution might be to “define a custom content selector,” but I’ve decided not to do that since I don’t plan to use the Inline Recommended Content feature anyway. (The Search feature also doesn’t work on my site, but that’s fine because I don’t intend to activate it either. I’ve only enabled the Widget feature, and that works smoothly.)
Personally, I don’t mind these 2 issues at all, but I’m just worried that they might delay the review process for my Journey application.
So my question is: Will these 2 issues interfere with the review process in any way?
If not, I’ll leave them as-is, since I’m not very comfortable making technical changes (I’m not very tech-savvy).
But if they will slow things down, could you please let me know what I should do?
Also, I have one more question:
Since I haven’t received any information about the estimated review time, could you please let me know the usual time range I should expect before hearing back about the result?
Thank you so much in advance!

Hey George Buat - thanks for reaching out. We use a separate system independent of Grow for the Community, which is why you're unable to log in using these credentials.
Both of the hiccups you've described will not impact your Journey elegablility, as long as the Grow script is running on your site. For your first issue, this can happen depending| on how your WordPress backend is set up - if refreshing takes care of logging you in, then you're all set.
If you have questions regarding troubleshooting for recommended content, I recommend connecting with the Grow Community, or reaching out to grow@mediavine.com
We don't currently have a timeline for when a site will be accepted into Journey, but keep an eye on your inbox for an invite.
