Hey everyone –  I wanted to jump in here to say RPM drops in July (and a little bit before at the end of June) is totally normal! It's often expected. You can read more about that here.

July marks the beginning of Q3, which is historically the lowest-spending quarter of the year for many advertisers. Many brands scale back budgets in the summer months. This leads to lower CPMs across the board, which directly affects your RPM and your earnings.

The strongest RPMs of the year are generally seen in Q4, particularly during October through December so Q3 is normally when some advertisers start planning their budgets.

You may see a bump in ad spend around Amazon Prime Day or when back to school season starts, but a drop in Q3 is normal.

As always -  make sure there aren't any conflicts with your Journey script and that your posts are as optimized as possible

SAME! My PV RPMs and my Session RPMs took a serious nosedive starting July 1st. Like they are suddenly 10% of what they have been since I started with Journey > a year ago. What is going on?!?!

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
