Hey Elisa Roe - I just took a look and I'm seeing ads run on your site.

When you first set things up, ad fill might take a minute as advertisers are learning your site. You can always test placement by opening your site in an incognito window and adding ?test=houseads to the end of any URL.

Thanks for checking! I just tested using the ?test=houseads parameter, and I do see house ads appearing. However, when I browse normally, I’m still not noticing any ads on my site.

Is this just part of the initial learning phase for advertisers, or should I be seeing ads consistently by now? Also, is there anything else I can do to optimize ad fill during this period?

    I appreciate your help!

    Thanks,
    Elisa Roe

Elisa Roe - It is part of the initial learning phase, but also, as the owner of your site, you'll see fewer ads than your readers in general. Since you're the site owner and presumably on your site a lot, you're less likely to see ads populate. Our advertisers are trying to reach your readers and not the site owner, so it's normal for you to see fewer ads to no ads.

The next best thing to do is to make sure there aren't any conflicts with your Journey script and that your posts are as optimized as possible!

Thanks for the clarification! That makes sense. I’ll check for any potential conflicts with the Journey script and ensure my posts are optimized.

    Appreciate your help!

    Thanks,
    Elisa Roe

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
