Hey Carla McGarrah, those are great questions!

On our end, your sidebar ads are working great – if you're still unable to see them, we recommend visiting your site in an incognito window and making sure your site's caches have been cleared recently.

The difference you're seeing between GA4 and Grow Analytics is to be expected since the two services track analytics differently. We have a thread open on the same topic here and a great help article: Why Is Grow Analytics Reporting Different Than GA4? Since you're paid by ad impressions and not by sessions or pageviews, you don't have to worry about any analytics discrepancies causing an impact to your revenue!

Lastly, this thread goes over some more troubleshooting steps for enabling the Grow Ads script. Your ads are looking good on our end, but please feel free to reference that thread if you run into further issues. Thanks!

I have tried viewing in an incognito window and changing browser settings to allow them but I wasn't seeing the sidebar ads or placeholder… glad they're working… thanks for checking that for me!

Was there a recent change in how the pageview metrics are reported? Because they had been relatively consistent with my GA4 numbers and are now wildly divergent, starting about Jan 26. Recorded pageviews in Grow are now 3-5x what I am seeing in GA4, after closely tracking the other from Aug-Jan, like a switch flipped overnight (the line graph for these data points inverts at that date and has stayed that way). Just trying to figure out what is going on and if I should be concerned, or if it was impacting revenue/RPM and recorded impressions at all.

I've tried the troubleshooting steps in the thread re: the ad script but so far it still doesn't show as installed through the plug-in and/or prompts me to log in and enable the script almost every time… but if it's installed properly and ads are running I guess I can live with that bug? Using the links in step 4 from the help thread, I get the “Journey successfully enabled!” screen… but my Journey settings in the Grow dashboard never updates to show that the script is installed properly, even after clearing caches.

Hi Carla McGarrah! As Tony mentioned, the script and ads are both looking good on the site. So you should be all set there.

Nothing has changed on our end on the analytics side of things, and everything looks pretty consistent in your dashboard. If you're seeing a big dropoff in your GA4 numbers, it's possible that your GA4 tag was maybe removed or isn't working properly. I checked using tag assistant, and while I'm seeing a GTM tag, I'm not seeing any page views registered. So that could definitely be something to check out. Thanks!

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
