Hey Nils Ruud - This is a great question and I wanted to jump in here to link our CPM help article but also just provide some further insight.

U.S. traffic tends to have the highest demand from advertisers so the CPM is higher - with Canada and the U.K. also fetching higher CPMs.

Traffic from other European countries usually has lower demand from advertisers which results in lower CPMs.

One thing I noticed when looking over your site is that I wasn't seeing any in-content ads. We went ahead and made some adjustments to your selectors so now you should start seeing those populate.

Hi Mary, thanks for replying. Thank you for that information, I didnt realize the difference would be that big.

Lets see if the in-content ads will improve the preformance. Was that something I could have done myself?

Squarespace can be a little tricky sometimes so that one I believe we had to fix. If you ever are looking around and you don't see ads loading, you can always test by adding ?test=houseads to the end of your URL and it'll show you ad placements.

Alright. I do see the in-content ads, but the banner seems unnaturally small.

Nils Ruud there are a variety of ad sizes, so seeing smaller banners in the content is normal.

    Thanks!

I set up Journey Ads by Mediavine five days ago, and my site gets 700-1,200 visitors daily. However, my revenue is still under $1. I suspect the ads aren’t properly optimized.

I’ve heard great things about Journey Ads, but they’re not performing as expected for me. I feel like I’m wasting my traffic. How can I optimize my ads for better earnings? Also, how do I contact Mediavine support?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Muhammad Tayab There's always a bit of a “ramp-up” period whenever you join a new ad management company. It can take some time for our advertisers to learn about your site and how they want to spend on it. The "ramp up" period is pretty diverse depending on a ton of different factors and varies from site to site.
Over time, you should start to see RPMs gradually increase but the best thing to do in the meantime is to make sure your site is as optimized as possible and that there aren't any conflicts to your Journey or Grow Script.

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
