Hey Kelly Hopes - It is totally normal to see RPM drop in January/Q1 and towards the end of December. You can read more about that here.

You mentioned getting an increase in sessions but your RPM/Impressions dropped. Outside of seasonality, this can happen if the traffic is from countries with lower demand or if maybe the audience wasn't as engaged as usual, or they were more jumpy. I'd take a look at your Google Analytics to see how this new traffic is behaving differently than your usual traffic. And as always, you'll want to make sure your posts are as optimized as possible

For your site specifically, I would recommend maybe dropping the top social share buttons. You offer them at the bottom of your posts anyway and sometimes readers can use those to jump off the page and forget to come back to it. Keeping those functions at the bottom could encourage more scrolling before readers hop away.

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
