Website not making money as expected
CompletedI am writing to express our concerns regarding the ad revenue from my website https://immanuelnews.com . Despite having the GROW script successfully implemented, we are not seeing the expected earnings.our site has had 29,361 pageviews and 12,168 sessions in the last 30 days, but the earnings are only $0.47. This discrepancy is quite concerning.
Previously, we were informed that Mediavine might not work well with WPBakery Page Builder. Following your advice, I spent the past month transitioning our website to Elementor. The site is now fully built in Elementor, yet the revenue remains unsatisfactory.
Additionally, we would like to adjust the placement of ads on our site. Could you provide guidance on how to optimize ad placements for better performance?
Furthermore, we would appreciate any feedback or insights you might have on what our website might be lacking. Understanding these areas of improvement could help in boosting our ad revenue and overall site performance.

Hi David nelson vaughn ! It looks like content ads aren't running on the site, which is why you're seeing lower earnings. This is because content ads typically don't work well with any page builder, including Elementor. You can read more about why the ad script doesn't play well with page builders in depth in this help article.
To illustrate further though, right now, the HTML of your site is a mix of WP Bakery and Elementor (see screenshot below).

The structure of the HTML also varies from post to post, which makes targeting ads really difficult since every post is different.
In general, Journey is not compatible with page builders since there are rarely consistent HTML selectors for the ad script to target, the content tends to be nested within <divs> instead of neatly below one HTML element, and the script can't target multiple different templates. Using the WordPress block editor is always our suggestion to avoid this issue.
Currently Journey doesn't offer any manual or custom ad placement, so our recommendation would be to either use the WordPress block editor or to add a consistent class to the content section of your posts (like .journey-ad-content-target) and make sure all of the content isn't nested into sections, but instead is all within one container in the HTML (you can refer to this open thread for more details). With the second option it'd then be possible we could get ads up and running, but it's never a guarantee if you're still using a page builder.
Thank you!
