Very poor RPM
Can anyone from Journey advise why our RPM is so low?
We have been on Journey for just short of 2 months, but RPM is only $3.37 average for this time.
We have followed all optimisation advice in the posts here and allowed what we think would be sufficient time for any “ramp up” period.
Our traffic is increasing yet our RPM either stagnates or has dropped (yesterday was just $2.54).
Our traffic is at least 50% T1 so whilst we don't expect some of the high RPM's quoted by others we would have thought somewhere around $10 would be achievable.
Are we doing something wrong or have we not had enough traffic to get past the “ramp up” phase?
Some advice would be appreciated as at this time it doesn't seem like Journey has been a good choice.

Hey Gordon - It is perfectly normal to see RPM drop at the start of the month but it really tends to take a dive in January - with some sites having an RPM drop of 40-60% at the start of the year.
This is because with the new year comes a budget reset for many advertisers (with the rest happening in July), with spending dropping as advertisers adjust their budgets for higher-demand months (like November and December) or holidays when consumers are known to spend more. You can read more about it here.
Each site’s RPM is impacted by a ton of different factors like audience makeup, CPM, formatting, reader behavior, which devices or browsers most of their visitors are coming from, etc.
When I look at your site I see ads serve as expected so the next best thing to do is to make sure there aren't any conflicts with your Journey script and that your posts are as optimized as possible0 -
Same thing is happening to my site, and my traffic is 85% if not all from usa and the rpm it's stuck at 2,50$

My RPM suddenly dropped from $18 to $6–$8. Is that normal?

Hey Abdul Nafay Riaz - At this time of year, yes. It can be perfectly normal.
