    Hey chris,

The Journey CMP covers publishers 100% for display advertising. Consent Mode V2 though is specifically in relation to Google Marketing Platform advertising tools such as Google Ads and how they integrate with Google Analytics, and it's only required for sites using these marketing platforms. The Journey CMP does not cover

Consent Mode isn't required for Journey ads or any programatic ads, it only has to do with the Google Marketing Platform services like Google Ads, so feel free to ignore these notices if this this does not apply to you.

Thanks for coming back. So as I don’t have any other ads outside of journey, I don’t need to worry? Just leave the alert even though Google is flagging it as a problem?

chris that's correct! This isn't relevant unless you're running something like Google Ads. Even if you were though, it wouldn't have any bearing on your Journey ads.

Thanks. I’m actually more worried about Google penalising my traffic than the impact on journey ads. Normally their flags are not a good thing for ranking!

These flags are only there because consent mode isn't enabled or set up, but if you don't run Google marketing/advertising tools they wouldn't need to be. This wouldn't impact rankings since it currently only pertains to sites running Google Marketing Platform advertising tools.

I had this issue and GA4 wasn't working properly (it started tracking zero sessions) until I implemented another cookie consent. Now I have two popups on my site and I hate it!

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
