Homepage not optimized with in-content ads

One thing I've noticed is that in-content ads are not shown on the homepage.

This is unfortunate in my case, because my homepage is a static page with lots of text and it's my second most-visited page.

If in-content ads could be shown on static homepages, this would immediately bump up my earnings.

I guess I'm asking if there were any plans regarding better homepage monetization?

We have an open thread here on this topic (homepage ads) you can refer to, and here's the response from the linked thread:
Right now, Journey only places content ads throughout actual post content since otherwise these ads could break the layout of pages. We also don't currently have an option for manual ad placement, but you'll still have the adhesion banner ad and Universal Video Player able to load on the homepage…
Homepage visits generally turn into page views on the posts linked from the homepage, so a better strategy for monetizing homepage traffic is to take all of our optimization tips and ensure the posts linked early on your homepage are as optimized for ads as possible!
