Ads not loading for some users
Hi all
I added ads to my site a couple of days ago. All seems to be working fine and I've checked the ads from several devices. However, a friend went onto my website and pointed out that the ads don't load for her, it's just a blank box. We left the page for several minutes but it made no difference.
I asked in a Facebook group and several people said the ads weren't loading for them, but for others they did.
Any ideas?

Hey Emily Payne - When I check your site I'm currently seeing ads load up pretty quickly and in all places I'd expect them to serve.

As the site owner, ads will be a lot scarcer for you than your readers but there could be a few things happening.
- There's always a bit of a ramp-up for ad fill when you first start up with a new ad management company or just ads in general so things might have been a little light those first few days.
- Depending on how frequently your friends are on your site, they also might not see ads as much.
- Location can play a big part in ad fill.
- Devices can play a part in ad fill to a certain extent as well as whether or not the device has any ad blockers.
The next best thing to do is to make sure there aren't any conflicts with your Journey script because that can also affect how ads serve!

Hi Emily Payne ! We recommend checking the article Mary linked on optimization conflicts. If you use any of those plugins in the article or other optimization plugins that optimize javascript, adding the script to the javascript exclusions section if available should ensure there aren't any conflicts.

Thank you. My sessions on Journey are significantly lower than GA4, by around 30%. Is this normal?
