Switching Domain Name While Running Journey Ads
I just got approved for journey ads less than a month ago. It feels like bad timing but I'd like to change my domain name, given that it's not very SEO friendly. I'm still keeping the same content and niche, but I want to make my new domain name reflect my niche. Could you please let me know if this change would impact my account or traffic requirements? Specifically, I’d like to know if I would need to reapply or if my traffic would be affected during the transition. I want to remain in good standing with Journey Ads as I move forward with my website changes. Is there anything I need to do before or after the transition?

If you're looking to change your domain or “rebrand” as we call it - you would need to email your domain change to help@journeymv.com
You'll want to be sure to include your old URL and your new URL when you do officially make the switch.
Although, typically, I'd caution against rebrands. Advertisers base their spending on your readers and your traffic, but the building block they start with is the history of your domain. When you redirect to a new domain, to advertisers it looks like a brand new site. It can take time (how much varies from site to site) for spending to return to normal.
Advertisers care about domain age because they care about the quality of your audience and readership.
That's not to say, I've never seen a rebrand work out for the better I just wanted to provide some more context! If you do decide to make the switch in your domain - just shoot us an email at help@journeymv.com and let us know!
Please note help@journeymv.com is for administrative changes and any questions about RPM or performance should still be directed to the community.
