Ad Script on Test Site

Hey Vlad Susanu - the script running on your site is preconfigured to a set of HTML selectors to set the content and sidebar ads on your site. Running a version of this script on your production site won't likely cause ads to display here, as the HTML may be different.

When you do end up pushing prod to live, the Script itself will automatically update with a new set of selectors after a bit of time.

    I hope this helps!

It sure does. Question. Since my website differs from other sites (using a lot of JS), can I place the ad code in specific spots?

Hi Vlad! Custom ad placements are not available with Journey. The script will crawl your site and find content and sidebar selectors based on the site's markup. Thanks!!

Heh, I wish I could share the site with you. We don't use sidebar selectors. Not available or not allowed? :)

Don't get me wrong; my devs know how to place them in specific spots. I just want to make sure we are not breaking any rules. For example, the ads can't find any interactive JS elements. But we can place them inside.

If there isn't a sidebar, that's perfectly fine - the sidebar ads just wouldn't be placed. Ads also wouldn't display inside of interactive JS elements. All the targeting will be handled via the script, so you would just need to get that added to the live site for ads to start displaying.

    Got it, thanks!

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
