October 1st was the start of a new month and brand-new quarter, making it a more dramatic drop than just the new month. These resets hit harder than the new-month reset since advertisers are planning out the full next quarter. This should bounce right back over the coming week or so as we get further into Q4.

When I look at your three sites, I see ads serve as expected so the next best thing to do is to make sure there aren't any conflicts with your Journey script and that your posts are as optimized as possible.

    Hi Mary,

Thank you so much for the info. I really appreciate your time. Fingers crossed as I look forward to the coming week.

Moreover, there are NO script optimization conflicts with any of my sites, and all my posts are optimized as much as possible.

    Thanks once again, Mary.

    Hi Mary,

I'm writing again regarding the drastic drop in RPM and CPM (on both of my sites) since October 1st. Now, it's the middle of Q4, and there is no hope in sight; everything still looks flatlined.

I’d be grateful if you could take a closer look.

Hey Anthony Ihezue - It's totally normal, if not expected, for RPM to drop around the beginning of any month as budgets reset. I did take a look and things are moving in a positive direction for November though!

In case you missed it - I posted here about doing a check-in on your site for Q4. I definitely recommend giving it a read.

    Hi Mary,

I genuinely appreciate your time and support. Thank you so much for your input. Indeed, it seems like Q4-RPM is gradually picking up this November.

By the way, I perfected these Q4 recommendations a long time ago, and all my posts are optimized as much as possible.

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
