This is happening to me, too. Never been above $10 RPM and 90% of my traffic is from the USA

RPM is incredibly specific to the site and its audience so I always recommend avoiding comparing! Each site’s RPM is impacted by a ton of different factors like audience makeup, CPM, formatting, reader behavior, which devices or browsers most of their visitors are coming from, etc. Two identical sites can have vastly different RPMs based on how their audience behaves alone.

RPM isn’t the way you earn, but instead an average of how everything comes together. So as your CPM, traffic, and impressions fluctuate - so will your RPM. You can read more about that here.

When I look at both of your sites I see ads serve as expected so the next best thing to do is to make sure there aren't any conflicts with your Journey script and that your posts are as optimized as possible

Leah Ingram I just took a look at your site and it looks like your RPM is closer to $16 dollars so things are moving up! One small suggestion I wanted to make was to bump your line height up. We do normally recommend between 1.6-1.8px. You're right at 1.6 but it's still on the smaller side possibly because of the font class. I tested pushing it up to 1.8px on my end and it gave everything a bump in length and definitely helped readability on mobile.

Qasim Tanveer - Because of the nature of your site, it's pretty easy to scroll through it pretty quickly. I'd recommend focusing on ways to slow the readers down with either more high-quality pictures or focusing on writing a bit more to encourage people to slow down and engage.

I didn't share your site's URLs in my comments but if you're comfortable, I'd encourage you to do so so that your fellow publishers can provide feedback as well!

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
