RPM
My RPM has been consistently low—rarely going above $11. I’ve been on the platform since June, and despite my efforts, I haven’t seen any improvement. When I experience a traffic spike, my RPM drops even lower, and when traffic slows, my RPM rises slightly. Over the last 90 days, my average RPM is $10.98. In the last 7 days, my average RPM is $7.76.
This is incredibly frustrating, especially when other bloggers I know are averaging between $30-40 RPMs consistently. I’ve worked with friends in the industry to make my site as “ad-friendly” as possible, but nothing has boosted my RPM.
Could you provide any insights into why my RPM is so low and if there’s a realistic path to improvement? If not, I may need to reconsider if this ad network is the right fit for me.

Hi Arelle,
I’m dealing with the same thing, even though I haven’t been on Journey as long. Has your RPM gotten any better? Thanks!

You think that is low ?
My RPM is average for last 30 days is $2.28 with 90% US visitors.
Can someone explain me why I have 5 time less than them please ?

RPM is incredibly specific to the site and its audience, so I always recommend avoiding comparisons because it's really apples to oranges! Each site’s RPM is impacted by a ton of different factors like audience makeup, CPM, formatting, reader behavior, which devices or browsers most of their visitors are coming from, how they're behaving, etc.
Two identical sites can have vastly different RPMs based on how their audience behaves alone.
RPM isn’t the way you earn but instead an average of how everything comes together. So as your CPM, traffic, and impressions fluctuate, so will your RPM. You can read more about that here.
The best thing to do is to make sure there aren't any conflicts with your Journey script and that your posts are as optimized as possible3
