    Hi Han Jade Chan,

As the article from Showit that you linked mentions, because of the way Showit styles pages, sidebar ads often don't display properly. This is the case with your site - even with the custom div, the ad won't display in the sidebar where it's intended to be. So the sidebar ad is not being targeted. Thanks!!

Hi John, can you deep dive a bit more on this? I'm certain we can figure out how to make the side bars show properly because there are many showit mediavine websites linked on that article that actually has the sidebar ads displaying properly.

example of showit mediavine website that has side bar ads showing (from the article): https://www.styleatacertainage.com/kellys-kitchen/firecracker-beef-rice-bowl-kellys-kitchen-weeknight-cooking-fall-recipe-asian-inspired-recipe/

In the link I sent, it says that it does Showit sidebar ads can work properly, and it linked to examples where side bar ads do show properly.

It instructed me to “Notify MediaVine of those 2 pieces of code that were added to your design in order for them to target and make the sidebar ads live.”

Please can you help me to configure to activate and target those side bar placements?

    Thank you!

Hi Han Jade Chan ! It looks like the script was able to target a sidebar ad, but it isn't sticking since this is a known conflict with showit sites that's outlined in the showit article:

"The second Ad in the sidebar will not remain sticky… This may affect visibility of additional ads loading during the viewing period of a post and could affect potential income. (no workaround has been found at this time)”

While some sites might have found a custom workaround to get the ad sticking, this isn't something we're able to adjust or support on our end.

    Thanks!

Hello, did anyone ever figure this out? My sidebar also does not show ads with my divi theme.

sandy joe looking at your site, I'm not seeing any usable CSS classes or IDs in your sidebar that Journey would be able to properly target for sidebar ads. Since you're using Divi, you'll want to make sure that your sidebar has a unique class or ID (something like journey-sidebar) so that the script can properly target your sidebar.

Additionally, your sidebar will need to retain a width of 300px on desktop screen-sizes in order to be placed on your site.
