Concern Regarding Very Low RPM From Last 20 Days

    Hey Ankush,

We generally don't recommend comparing your RPM with other sites, as there are a lot of different factors that go into that final result-- things like user behavior, content formatting, traffic makeup, trending posts, and advertiser spend can ALL impact RPM in a multitude of ways that aren't obvious when just comparing final results. You can read more about that here, but those examples are only really scratching the surface!

It's also important to keep in mind that advertiser budgets reset at the beginning of every month, so it's common for RPM to dip around that time.

Looking at your top pages I'm seeing a lot of your traffic hitting your homepage in the last 30 days. While it is amazing that people find their way to your site, homepages can be tricky to monetize since most readers don't interact with that page for long, and fewer ad placements exist.

Generally, readers come to the homepage to find a link, click it, and move on so they aren't being served ads as often as they would be on a post. We typically recommend trying to drive traffic to well-optimized posts rather than your homepage whenever possible!

Hi. I'm at 1.93$ RPM…. I've only accumulated 3.63$ in 20 days… I'm worried that this won't go up very much. I've just started 20 days ago… Should this be a concern? Please help…I was expecting something much higher… Cheers

RPM is incredibly specific to the site and its audience so I always recommend avoiding comparing! Each site’s RPM is impacted by a ton of different factors like audience makeup, CPM, formatting, reader behavior, which devices or browsers most of their visitors are coming from, etc. Two identical sites can have vastly different RPMs based on how their audience behaves alone.

RPM isn’t the way you earn, but instead an average of how everything comes together. So as your CPM, traffic, and impressions fluctuate - so will your RPM.  You can read more about that here.

When I look at your site I see ads serve as expected so the next best thing to do is to  make sure there aren't any conflicts with your Journey script  and that  your posts are as optimized as possible

    Hi Mary
    Thanks for the info..
I went into my WP Rocket plugin and this is what I have... Why is Mediavine and others in the exclude area? I'm new to this so I'm not sure...
Also..Do I erase anything and add the 'Scriptwrapper' as mentioned in your article?

    Please let me know asap…

    thanks

Hey Patrick - You'll want to make sure you have scriptwrapper added to the section about Excluded JavaScript Files. Just to be safe - I'd add Grow too.

    It'll look like this:
