How to have higher CPM ads shown on our site?
AnsweredAs an example, let's say that Toyota is an advertiser utilizing the mediavine network, and also, Kitchenaid is another advertiser utilizing the network. Both are running ads, but let's say Toyota is paying a higher CPM for their ads to show, vs Kitchenaid.
What can we do, as publishers, to have mediavine show more of Toyota's ads on our site, rather than Kitchenaid's?
I'd like to optimize for my site to show higher CPM (and ultimately higher RPM for me) ads so that I can maximize the revenue brought in by every single visit I have.
What can we, as publishers, do to make our sites more conducive to have higher CPM/RPM ads shown?

This is a great question!
Our ads are served in an auction format, which means that the advertiser who is willing to pay the most for your ad slots will win the auction every time. Because Journey (and Mediavine) take a programmatic approach to advertising, which ad a reader is served is largely based on the reader's browsing history and cookies. That ad auction takes place behind the scenes so every reader will end up seeing different ads based on their own interests and what they have been searching for online.
To make sure you're getting the most out of your ads, you'll want to make sure you're as optimized as possible. Be sure to check out out help article here to see how!
