Journey is indicating that ads.txt cannot be found on Blogger
Hi! I've been attempting to install the Ads.txt file on Blogger but encountering some challenges. Journey keeps indicating that my Ads.txt file cannot be located, despite it being visible at my domain.com/ads.txt.
I resolved one issue by correcting the format from lowercase "reseller" to "RESELLER" as highlighted by https://ads-txt.live/. This adjustment allowed me to successfully install it on my Blogger site. However, Journey is still unable to detect Ads.txt on my site.
Could anyone offer assistance?
Thank you!

Hi Robert! Can you confirm you've followed the directions outlined in this help article? That should hopefully get it up and running. You can also check out this thread and this thread on the same topic. Thanks!

Hi Rachel!
Thank you! I'm checking!0 -
I checked and RESELLER is all caps in the new ads text. I have read the help articles and been uploading new texts to my main blog for years. There's clearly some error in the ads text. I'm not doing anything incorrectly.

I also ran the code validator and it didn't come back with any errors. Any more solutions you can recommend?

At this point I have no ads txt on my blog. I have tried copying and pasting, downloading the txt file, select all, manually copying and pasting into my blog. The code clearly has an error and I don't know what else I can do to correct it.

Hey Lisa Steele ! So sorry you're running into these issues. It's strange we're not seeing anything at all when we try to access the ads.txt file – that would point to an issue with the Blogger redirect, so it would be worth reaching out to their support team to ask them why the ads.txt file isn't redirecting.
Another thing you could try is adding a redirect directly to our ads.txt server. The redirect would be from yoursitename.com/ads.txt to the URL you see under Journey Settings → Ads.txt → Ads.txt URL.
Let us know if you have any questions about this!

I got the same problem. My journey dashboard says ads.txt out of date. And when I try to update it on my website I get: The Ads.txt content does not comply with format rules.
There is #ortb at the end which is causing the issue. As any comments must go on new line.
I tried adjusting it and saving, it was saved on my website but my journey dashboard doesn't accept it!

TechCracked we just released another ads.txt update that should resolve the Blogger conflict with the hashed comment since it removes that last line. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Ad text out of date. Copied and pasted new text. Hit refresh and now I'm getting this message.
We were unable to verify the ads.txt file.0 -
Hi Lisa Steele ! There was an issue with some ads.txt files showing a false out of date status over the weekend, but it should now be resolved now if you go into your Journey settings in your dashboard and click the “Refresh” button above the Ads.txt section. Thanks!

Hi. I don't see the error message or refresh button any longer, so it seems to have been resolved. Thank you.

Lisa Steele If you download the ads.txt file from your Grow dashboard and compare it to the ads.txt file on your site using Diffchecker, you'll notice a few spacing differences that could be resulting in the crawler identifying the file as out of date. I would fix those spacing differences and ensure the files match exactly on Diffchecker.
Since you're having issues with this intermittently though, we highly recommend having your host set up a redirect to the ads.txt file on our servers as mentioned above, and you can read instructions on where to grab the URL to the ads.txt file here. Your host should easily be able to set up a redirect for you, and then you wouldn't have to update the ads.txt file manually moving forward.

So when I Select All, copy and paste it doesn't paste it correctly? That makes no sense.
I'm on Blogger so I don't have a host, but I'll check with my web designer to see if she can set up a redirect.
