Conflicting Code
CompletedI have removed all Google Adsense codes from my website. When I try to move forward with the onboarding process, I am still getting the error message saying there is conflicting ad code running on my site. What can I do to continue?

Here's an in-depth help article that goes over how to remove conflicting ad code from your site and where you typically can find the conflicting code. Please read over all of the troubleshooting steps and if you need assistance or can't find the code, reach out to your host or developer for assistance.

Hi Sharon! I'm still seeing AdSense code in your source code. Here's what it looks like:
<script type="text/javascript" async="async" src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-9432224952653390&host=ca-host-pub-2644536267352236" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
Once you remove the remaining AdSense code, I would clear out all caching plugins and your server side cache, and then you should be able to finish onboarding.

Hi Rachel I'm sure you're busy with all the new onboarding.
Another one for this issue. Site is: https://sportscienceinsider.com/
I am stuck with this error message:
We found conflicting ad code running on your site. Launching ads with Journey requires you to remove code from any previous programmatic ad partners. If you are bound by an agreement with another ad provider, stop here. See this Help article for more information on exclusivity requirements.
This site was on Ezoic but we left many months ago. Here is where I'm up to with the debugging:
1) Ezoic plugin gone many months ago.
2) DNS put back many months ago.
3) Cleared WP rocket, Cloudflare and Cloudways server level caching.
3) Found 18 pieces of Ezoic code in wp-options folder still... – cleared these, repeated step 3.
4) Found Ezoic code in widgets side bar, removed and repeated step 3.
5) Found ezoic caching in WP Rocket, disabled this and repeated step 3.
6) Double checked header and footer for code – all good.
There is nothing coming back from Ezoic in terms of help as we no longer have any affiliation with them. Cloudways have been super helpful and seem to think all is clear on the sever side.
If there is anything else to check please let me know. Always happy to let someone jump onto our site and have a look if they need access.
Many thanks,
Will Shaw

Hi Will! It actually looks like the issue is the following AdSense code:
<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3598672083010558" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
From your source code, it appears to be in the <head> area of your site. Once it's removed and all caches are cleared out, you should be all set!

Amazing, thanks Rachel.
Found it, removed it and we are onboard.
Thanks again, have a great day.

Rachel, I am not sure where to find that code. Can you tell me where it is so that I can delete it?

Hi Sharon - I see you've launched ads and I no longer see the script on your site, so it looks like you were able to find it!

Hi Alena! I'm seeing the following AdSense code below the <footer> section in your site's source code:
<script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script><script> (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({ google_ad_client: "ca-pub-5016469481069675", enable_page_level_ads: true }); </script>It's unclear if this is being inserted through a plugin, theme file, or something else, so I would reach out to your host for assistance since they should have access to your site.

Hi Rachel,
I am getting the same message for my site (austinot.com). So far, I have removed the Ezoic plugin and also made sure that the DNS set up is through Cloudflare.
Please let me know when you get a chance.
Thanks!

Hi Saleel! I see AdSense code in the <head> of your site as well. This is what it looks like:
<script>https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8085850794260959"crossorigin="anonymous"></script>Once you remove that and clear all caching you should be good to go. If you need assistance or can't find the script, we recommend reaching out to your host or developer for assistance.

HI Rachel Johnson,
I'm writing to follow up on my previous issue regarding Google Ads not displaying on my website. I'm pleased to inform you that the problem has been resolved, and the ads are now showing up perfectly. I'm very happy with the partnership thus far. However, I have one small observation that I'd like to bring to your attention. Since the ads started displaying yesterday, I haven't seen any Google Ads at all. All I'm seeing are Grow ads. I just wanted to make sure that there aren't any issues on my end and that Google Ads are displaying normally on my site.
I've also read a lot of troubleshooting posts in the forum, and I understand that I may not be able to see ads on my site like a regular visitor would. However, I would just like to have peace of mind knowing that everything is working smoothly.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
