Ads.txt not found
CompletedI've gone through the steps and it's still giving me the error of the ads.txt missing or out of date, however when I enter my domain plus ads.txt it's there with the correct ads info in it. Should I continue figuring this out or, since it's showing up when I go to my site, this is just a tech. glitch and I can ignore it?

Hi there! It looks like your ads.txt file is just out of date, so you'll just want to download the ads.txt file under Journey Settings → Ads.txt → Download Ads.txt File and replace the outdated file with the new one on your site.

Thank you! That fixed it.

I have the same issue BUT even with latest ADS.TXT file still wont work after SO MANY attempts and cache cleanup on all levels:
Clues?
PS: although I have Wordpress, I had to install manually due to Grow plugin not showing the option to activate the Ads file from the dashboard.
thanks
Andrea

Hi Andrea! Can you make sure that the ads.txt file you're seeing is the Journey ads.txt file? Here's a help article that goes over how to troubleshoot that. We have a more in-depth article here as well that goes over different ways to troubleshoot a missing ads.txt file.

This is quite frustrating - with the new ads.txt update I can't get them to run on my site, www.nutritionforrunning.com. I tried updating it in the Grow plugin and manually, and neither seems to be working.

Hi Sarah Schlichter ! I'm seeing the Journey ad script in the ads.txt file instead of the ads.txt file lines when I visit https://nutritionforrunning.com/ads.txt. The Journey ad script just needs to be installed in the <head> area of the site, but it shouldn't be in the ads.txt file.
You'll want to grab the ads.txt file under Journey Settings → Ads.txt → Download Ads.txt File in your dashboard, copy the exact contents, and then replace what you currently have in the ads.txt file with it. That should do the trick!

I am still not sure where to put the contents. Do I put it in my header plugin? It also looks like I have ads.txt and app-ads.txt on my Wordpress dashboard. DO I need both?

Hi Sarah Schlichter ! You want to put the Journey script in your <head> area and the ads.txt file wherever your ads.txt file is hosted. You should just need one plugin for the ads.txt file!

Hi I am continuing to get ads.txt is out of date on my site. I have updated it multiple times and I have cleared cache. I have it installed manually because I have elementor. I also notice I have to typically update my ads.txt file monthly. And in September, this is the 2nd time I have had to update my ads.txt file. Can you help me figure out why it's not confirming the updated file?

Hi Corrie ! There was an issue with some ads.txt files showing a false out of date status over the weekend, but it should now be resolved now if you go into your Journey settings in your dashboard and click the “Refresh” button above the Ads.txt section.
Also, to avoid having to manually update the ads.txt file in the future, I would recommend adding a redirect to our servers so you don't have to manually update the ads.txt file any time there's an update, and you can read instructions on how to do that here.
Thanks!

I am still getting an error that my ads.txt is not able to be verified when I try to refresh.

Hi Corrie ! In your case, it looks like the ads.txt file is actually out of date. I'm seeing the ads.txt file from 9/10, and there was another update on 9/12. You'll just want to grab the most recent version of the file from your dashboard, upload it, clear caching, and then you should be all set.
