If you installed your ads.txt file directly into your site files and are getting the “Your ads.txt is missing or out-of-date…” message, please follow the steps below.
First, check to see if your ads.txt is displaying on the site by going to https://yourwebsite.com/ads.txt.
If it is, please clear your site’s caching.
If you are not seeing the ads.txt, add ?test=1234 to the end of the ads.txt url
(e.g. ‘yourwebsite.com/ads.txt?test=1234).
If you see the ads.txt file after adding this (example screenshot below), then caching is the issue.
Continue to try clearing out your site’s cache. Reach out to your host to clear any server side caching.
Once the caching is completely clear, this should resolve the issue and you should be able to continue forward with onboarding via the Journey Dashboard.
