On the Squarespace platform, there is no option to host the ads.txt file on your site.
However, they do allow for a redirect, which is preferable since you will not need to keep manually updating this file after you’ve set it up the first time.
Please proceed to the steps below to get this installed.
- In SquareSpace, navigate to Settings > Developer Tools > URL Mappings
- In the URL Mappings box, copy the following snippet below then paste in the box. If you have other entries in the box already, feel free to add this snippet below these.
/ads.txt -> **<https://YOURADSTXTFILEURLGOESHERE>** 301
- Replace the url (https://YOURADSTXTFILEURLGOESHERE) in this snippet with your own ads.txt url. You can get this url in the Ads.txt step of your Journey dashboard. Just click the ‘Copy URL’ button and replace that example url.
4. If done correctly, your redirect should look similar to the screenshot below. Click the Save button at the top right once you’ve added this.
5. Visit ‘yourwebsite.com/ads.txt and see if you are seeing the Journey ads.txt file here. It should look similar to this screenshot below:

Make sure that there are no other /ads.txt redirects in this section. If there are, please make sure to remove the other one. Only include the Journey redirect url here.
