GA4 time zone switch destroyed the data Grow collects
Hi! I dived through many posts and didn't find any with this specific issue and chatbot wasn't of much help.
I'm currently only about 10 days with Grow scripts online, I linked GA4 and switched the time zone.
However after switching the time zone, GA4 isn't taking it well and hasn't recovered yet.
My question is not help with GA4 but rather: How to ensure this faulty data you take from GA4 won't affect my evaluation / review / the learning process?
My Faulty GA4 Data:
The real-time data look well but if you filter the daily reports, that's broken. Many days show 0 users or about 300, but the daily traffic from those days has been about 1200 RU and 3000-4000 PVs per day, which is just about my average now. Adsense was also displaying many ads during these days, I see GSC traffic, server traffic etc.
I believe GA4 will fix itself in a few days once they recalculate it, but I'm worried about a negative effect on my journey… with Journey / Grow.
The info about what Grow collects is pretty foggy so I'm worried my performance for a month will be evaluated wrongly with faulty data - days showing 0s or random numbers.
But maybe this is a non-issue because real-time data appear well in GA?
Let me pls know if this can negatively impact anything like the application itself or future CPM - and if so, what can be done about it. I'm worried of a negative consequence, I actually believe my traffic is of high quality as can be seen in Time spent or RU/PV ratio.
I come from adtech industry irl so I hope I should be able to try anything you suggest.
Thanks a lot!!! :) https://game-checklists.com/
