Low RMP for a long time

Hi, I searched and couldn't find a similar post, so sorry if there was one out there.

I have been monitized on my second blog for almost a year. My other blog has been monitized for probably 18 months. They get about the same amount of traffic. My older blog is at about $12 rpm, but my younger blog is only at $0.80 rpm? They are different niches (one is frugal/simple living, the other homeschool/crafts). Why is it still so low? They are both set to optimal ads.

I am running into the same issue. I have a site with 20,000 pageviews making around $300. Another site with 32,000 pageviews making $3.00. I don't understand what is happening as there are both WordPress with the same settings.
