Data Attached: Unusual RPM Decline Over the Last Two Months
Hi Mediavine Team,
I really hope this post gets the attention it deserves because the situation is quite alarming. My RPM has fallen sharply over the past two months despite no changes on my end — same niche, same consistent posting schedule. In September, my site earned around $598 with healthy RPMs. In October, the average RPM dropped to $8.87, and now in November it’s mostly between $5–$8, even though my daily sessions are still not very less in the season of holidays. My site still gets sessions between 1,000 to 1,200 per day.
I’m attaching a screenshot for all three months so the difference is clear. My content is seasonal plus evergreen mainly about nails, skincare, hair care and women's fashion, which usually perform well this time of year. So this steep decline feels far beyond normal seasonal fluctuation.
Many others seem to be experiencing the same, yet there hasn’t been any transparent explanation or acknowledgement.
This isn’t a minor concern — for many of us, this income is our livelihood. I truly urge Mediavine to look deeper into what’s happening with ad fill rates or partner changes, because something clearly shifted after September.
Please don’t take this lightly — we trust this network, and transparency matters now more than ever.

The October drop always happens until the Black Friday campaigns. My RPM on a different publishing network also got dropped this way, and now getting better. The days before Halloween were kind of peak RPM days.
