Surge in "No set" sessions in Google Analytics ever since enabling Google Analytics Consent Mode
Hello - I enabled Google Analytics consent mode in Journey settings on my website and ever since doing that, I have seen a large increase in sessions (about 4000 in October) in Google Analytics that have the source / medium as “Not Set" with a very high bounce rate (99.95%). When I enabled it, I went ahead and tested it with Google tag tester and it looked like consent was being set / updated correctly.
I was trying to troubleshoot and I also noticed that my Journey dashboard is complaining that my ads script, ads.txt, privacy policy, about me are all missing. This seems inaccurate as ads are being served on my site with no issues and my privacy policy / about me pages have been there all along. My wordpress site is connected using the grow plugin. I followed instructions and disabled the plugin and re-enabled it but those are still being reported as missing. I am wondering if there's some error somewhere that's causing this and is somehow connected to the Google Analytics consent mode issue.
I turned off consent mode to monitor if the “not set” traffic will go away in the next few days but any help would be appreciated.
