Show sidebar recommended post instead ads

Hello community, newbie is here..

Recently, I joined with the Grow. I set up Ads in my static website. Ads are working fine. I have 2 problems.

1. I enabled the sidebar, and it shows my own post as one of the recommended ones. I can't see any ads there, like sticky or any. Is this temporary? Or how can I earn by showing my own posts there instead of showing ads?

2. It is just a week; my RPM is very low. Is this normal for the first 2-3 weeks?
