Squarespace blocks and Mediavine ad conflicts?

We seem to have an issue with ad placement on our website and wondered if there is anything we can do about it. We use Squarespace to build our pages and (we think) the "blocks" Squarespace uses are causing issues with overcrowding ad placement.

We had an article with 2700 words and it was displaying over 28 adverts at one point, an ad every 100 words! We think this may be because Journey/Mediavine insert ads after a certain number of HTML blocks and this conflicts with the way Squarespace builds the page.

We have turned ads down to a minimum (not what we wanted to do), but the pages are still cluttered and we are frequently getting feedback as to the density of ads on our site. We do not want the pages to become unreadable and are worried our readers will start to bounce off the site due to this.

Does anyone know if there is a problem or, better yet, a solution to this?
