Hi Eric Le ! The Journey script places ads automatically on a site based on a specific logic that's optimal for ad performance and we don't currently have an option for manual ad placement, so the script won't respect the designated spaces you've reserved. We'd recommend removing these boxes since the script won't recognize them or use them for placing ads and will instead place ads in the most optimized locations.

    Thanks!

I see, there is no way I can affect where or what size the ads will appear? to be honest I find the auto-insert ad-placement is not optimized

Eric Le There isn't a way to determine the size of the ad - ad sizes are handled automatically by the ad script and will vary based on what ad wins the bid and how much space our script perceives as available. This is intentional since the more ad size possibilities, the more competitive the bidding will be and the more likely an ad will be placed, so trying to restrict ad sizes will negatively impact performance.

Journey is Self Supported

Our support staff is monitoring this forum everyday for bugs related to ad delivery, the display and functionality of the Journey dashboard, and any bugs related to the onboarding process. We are typically unable to assist with non-bug related issues like RPM performance expectations, issues setting up the ads.txt file, and questions already answered by our existing help docs. Read here for a more detailed breakdown of how Journey is self-supported and our recommendations for how to find answers to common issues.
