New to Journey - Squarespace user

I started with Journey earlier this week and have a few questions. I understand it will take a while to build but the RPM for the posts shown look on the low side.  Another thing I have noticed is that on my Squarespace analytics, traffic has dropped considerably.  Visits and pageviews 10% down. I’ve updated some old posts and posted others but doesn’t seem to make much difference.  

Also, My template doesn’t use a sidebar, will this impact my success? I wonder if my layout will cause any issues - I have a landing home page, web pages with summary blocks filtering blog posts as well as individual blog collection. Will any of this cause problems going forward?
