Consent banner (CMP) user experience issue
CompletedDear Journey Support Team,
My problem is that the consent banner is always displayed in English, which is not the native language of my audience.
I know the CMP should be based on the user’s browser settings, however, it always shows up in English. I tried on several laptops and mobiles with non-English browser language settings, also asked friends to check it out, and they had the same experience: the consent banner is displayed in English and not in the language of the browser (I live in the EU, so location shouldn’t be an issue either).
I’m concerned that displaying the consent message in a foreign language for my visitors will have a negative impact on user experience, and as a consequence reduce the traffic of my site.
Could you please help me to solve this issue? I’m interested in any potential solution.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Balazs ! The CMP currently supports the following languages:
- German
- English
- Spanish
- French
- Italian
- Dutch
- Swedish
If a browser is set to any of the above languages, that will be the language used in the CMP. If the browser is set to a language the CMP doesn't support, then it will default to English.
Thank you!

Will you be adding more languages? My site was accepted, but it’s in Portuguese. Showing the CMP in English, as Balazs mentioned, could cause people to bounce.

Hi Margaridarosa Geral. It's possible that more languages will be added in the future, but we don't have a timeframe on that. The languages that Rachel listed above are those currently supported. Thanks!
