Analytics displaying zeros even though ads are being shown and footer ads are overlaying on top of each other
Hi all.
Yesterday I set up Journey on my WordPress site and I see this morning that ads are displaying on desktop and mobile. (I realise that to see ads on desktop you have to be logged out of WP admin.
I was wondering why the analytics is still showing zero for impressions, sessions etc? (I don't expect the financials to fill up yet but impressions should be showing no?
Also, the banner that slides up from the bottom seems to have two ads one overlaid on the other and there is no button (the cross x doesn't work) to remove or minimise the ads from the screen. (Especially annoying on mobile.) I presume this will happen whilst the system works out the best places on the site to show ads over the next 30 days?

I just checked again and the analytics are now displaying….. There is even some earnings! :)

However the popup ads in the footer are still overlaying… Right now there are 4, one on top of each other as you can see in the screenshot. There seems to be no way for the user to minimise the add and the X to close the add doesn't work.

There are now 6 footer ads one on top of the other!

Ok after a week or so the footer ads seemed to have calmed down and only one is displaying now. I have also set ad placement to "medium" because “optimal” displays far too many inline ads spoiling the layout and reading experience of my articles. I dread to think what “high” would produce!
However, I am concerned about a few things regarding Journey.
1 Users on my site are unable to minimise the footer ad and it takes up a lot of space down there ruining layout and the reading of articles.
2. 12 days have gone by and no one (admin) has answered my original post here. This leads me to believe that support is not so good. Is anyone monitoring this community? It would have been nice to have at least a response.

Hi Clive Muir ! Journey is intended to be a self service product that’s supported primarily by the community. The Journey team is here to help with pressing matters, but response times won’t always be instant, so we appreciate your patience here. We did check the site and didn't run into issues with overlapping adhesion ad units, so it's likely this was due to a temporary bad ad that's since been removed.
Currently the footer ad isn't closable, which is best for viewability and RPM. You could disable the footer ad using the adhesion ad blocklist code by following the instructions in this help article, but we don't recommend it since it's a really valuable and performant ad placement, and disabling it would negatively impact revenue. We appreciate this feedback though, and will pass it along!
