Traffic Drop

At the end of June I added Journey ads to my blog, I think it was the 25th of June. At the time I was averaging about 500-800 sessions a day. The day after I added the ads my traffic dropped drastically to now averaging less than 20 sessions a day. My traffic was mainly coming from Pinterest and it was pretty steady but since the ads it hasn't gone back up to what it used to be. I have some weeks where a post might become a bit viral and sessions go back to 100-150 but still not as much as it used to be. Has anyone else had that same issues? Is it possible that adding ads has flagged my account on Pinterest and should I remove them to see if it will get better?
