Cookies Description
CompletedI noticed that grow added 3 cookies to my website:
- growme_version
- grow_check_third_party_cookie_support
- collector_cookie
What kind of cookies are they? Could you give me a description for each so I can include it in my cookie settings?

HI Duke Armitage ! You wouldn't need to set anything in your cookie plugin for Grow related cookies, but here are the descriptions:
- growme_version - makes sure users load a consistent version of Grow if they're served an A/B test
- grow_check_third_party_cookie_support - determines if a browser supports third party cookies
- collector_cookie - helps collect analytics
Thanks!

Hi Rachel,
Thank you for the descriptions! Maybe I wasn't clear, I meant as in to show them in my cookie consent solution for website visitors.

Hi Duke,
Thanks for the additional context. If you're a Journey publisher then the consents should all be covered by our CMP - you wouldn't need an additional solution. If you're currently only running Grow, though, then here is some additional information on the cookies:
growme_version is used so Grow can pin/lock a version of the product so particular version of Grow can be loaded for a user. It is primarily used for A/B tests and would most likely be categorized as Functional.grow_check_third_party_cookie_support is used to test browser support for third-party cookies and would most likely be categorized as Functional.
cookie_collector is used by Grow for analytics and would mostly likely be categorized as Analytic or Performance depending upon the CMP.
Thanks!!0 -
Hi John,
That sounds awesome! It'd be great not to worry about CMP. I'm only running Grow now, so thank you for the descriptions.
