Journey by Mediavine vs. Elementor
CompletedHi there,
We've recently joined Journey by Mediavine and so far our RPM and CPM have been very low. I know it's normal at the beginning as it's been only few days and we need to wait, but our blog posts are built in Elementor and I found out it might be an issue. Though it seems like the ads are placed, but I wonder if changing to Gutenberg editor could increase our revenue in the future? Here's an example of one of our blog posts:

I see there is a total 10 ads places throughout the article + 1 sticky one at the bottom + 1 in the sidebar. Is this considered normal amount of ads for this lenght of article or do you think there would be more ads placed in case we use Gutenberg editor?
Thank you for looking into this!

Hi Jana Rybarska ! We would always recommend using the Gutenberg editor over Elementor because it typically does allow for more frequent/consistent ad placement and is better for site speed in general. That said, your ad density does look normal, so we wouldn't be able to say how much of a difference switching to Gutenberg would make in this case.
Thanks!

Hello Jana,
I saw the thread of this post, and you mentioned your blog was built on Elementor, Did you have to change your theme? We noticed that no ads are shown in content posts; we believe is because we are using Elementor. Any response is greatly appreciated it.0 -
Hey! We ended up changing the theme and move away from Elementor, but the main reason was to improve the site speed. The ads actually seemed to be placed normally (same as now) when we used to have Elementor. Perhaps, one of your optimization plugins optimizes the script too which might cause issues.

Hi Jana, I see that you said that even with Elementor the ads appeared the same, I'm in the same situation at the moment and I don't know if I should switch to Gutenberg because I have over 100 posts, it would take me a long time to modify them manually…..
maybe I should make the next posts with Gutenberg and leave the rest as is, what do you think?
Thanks!0
