Reporting conflict with GDPR and Cookies?

We recently changed plugins for managing our cookie consent/GDPR banner from UniConsent to Complianz and since have seen our sessions drop significantly on Journey reporting. We have not seen a drop in our Google Analytics, so we believe this to be a reporting or recording error on Journey's side and not an actual drop in traffic. Are there any specific settings or configurations that Journey needs to better work with cookie consent?

Thanks for reaching out. The Journey analytics do work a little bit differently than GA4, so it's possible that the new solution you've implemented is affecting the reporting. There aren't any configurations to be made in your Journey settings, but it's possible that you could adjust some settings with the banner/plugin - the plugin developers may have some better insights on that.
