Page Speed question
CompletedHey, I've just installed the Journey script and run the ads on our site now - trackslesstravelled.com - and it appears to have had a really negative impact on site speed.
I can't seem to defer the script using WP Rocket as when i try the ads disappear from our site.
I do know people that achieve good results with Journey so I'm wondering what I'm missing. Basically our blocking time sometimes returns scores of over 10 seconds on page speed insights whereas before installing the script the maximums were 600ms.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there! I'm seeing earnings in your dashboard – it's possible if you didn't have the Grow script on your site that could've caused a temporary issue since it's what gathers your reporting data, but you should be seeing that data on your end now regardless. If you continue to have issues though, you can post in an active thread on the same topic!
As for page speed, we have a great FAQ article here that goes over our ads & site speed, why you shouldn't further optimize the ad script, and why you might see our script referenced in Google PageSpeed Insights. We also have some great page speed resources here if you're interested in further optimizing your site!
Ultimately, a site without ads will always be faster than a site with ads regardless of your set up since ads and the bidding process require a lot of code to run under the hood, but our data hasn't shown any issues with site speed when the Journey or Grow scripts are running that would result in a poor performance score. The scripts are fully optimized for page speed since that's always one of our top priorities, so Journey ads should never be the main culprit here. Instead, performance is generally going to come down to other plugins/scripts running, the theme, and/or the hosting service.
Hope this helps!
