First Day's Analytics Very Off
AnsweredHello,
Implemented Journey yesterday around 12 PM. According to Google Analytics, I had over 300 sessions yesterday, but the Journey dashboard is saying I only had 9 yesterday, and I have a crazy high RPM which doesn't seem accurate.
Is there some connectivity issue?

Hi Noelle! I'm not seeing the Grow script on your site anymore, and this is the script that pulls in your analytics. This isn't revenue impacting, but would result in analytics not pulling into the dashboard correctly and your RPM being skewed.
If you're not using the Grow plugin or the script isn't connecting properly through the plugin, you can make sure that you have the Grow script (which you can find in your dashboard under Grow Settings → Install Grow Script) added to the <head> area of your site. Once you've confirmed it's added, data should start populating over the next few days.

Ah, okay I added it as a snippet and I believe it is now detected.
Before this fix, it only tracked June 15th, with inaccurate numbers. Clearly the earnings shown is not accurate, along with the other numbers. Will this all be updated to current figures in the next day or so? Or is it not retroactive?

If the Grow script wasn't on the site, there wouldn't be a way to backfill that data. Analytics for Journey will be different from your GA4 analytics since every analytics tracking service is different. That said, we did find out from our engineers that data for yesterday is delayed. They're looking into it now, but not seeing data from yesterday is to be expected at this point and they should hopefully have it fixed soon!

Understood. Does that mean the earnings will always be off/inaccurate since it didn't capture 3 days' worth of data since the script wasn't active? How would that work?

Hi Noelle! The earnings should backfill once the Grow script is back on your site, at least by the next day at 10am EST.
